TSBooksThe element of balanceContact

How TSBooks works

Everything reads the same books.

TSBooks is a Unified Financial Platform: one system of record for the entire financial life of a business. Accounting, group reporting, tax and investor accounts all read the same books, so no figure is re-keyed and every figure traces back to the source.

What is a Unified Financial Platform?

Record once. Connect by ownership. Compute everything else.

  1. Record

    Every source, one way in

Bank and card feeds, invoices, bills and payments, history from prior systems and accountants' entries, plus what accounting software leaves out: broker and custodian statements, custom loans, investor subscriptions and redemptions, and K-1s from other partnerships. Every transaction posts as a balanced double-entry in one company's books, and the database refuses any entry that does not balance.

  2. Connect

    Ownership joins the companies

Each company keeps an owners list (people, trusts, outside businesses or other companies in TSBooks) with percentages and effective dates, and those lists form the company tree. A shared chart lines up accounts across the companies, and each transaction with a related company is tagged at entry.

  3. Compute

Every answer computed from the books

Statements for each company, consolidated statements for any company in the tree, partnership returns with each partner's K-1, and every investor's account are computed from the books on demand. A correction to an entry reaches every statement and schedule built on that entry.

01 — Accounting

Full-featured accounting

Complete double-entry books for each company, from daily transactions to year-end financial statements.

Sales and purchasing
Invoicing, bills, payments and credits for every customer and vendor.
Banking
Bank and card feeds sync every six hours, with rules, matching and reconciliation for every account and card.
Reporting
Financial statements, aging, budgets and cash flow, current to the day.
Controls
Closing dates, per-company roles and a complete audit log. Posted entries are never overwritten.

02 — Multi-company

Multi-company financial platform

Any number of companies and firms in one system, each with separate books, joined by ownership into one group view.

Every company in one place
Each company keeps a separate chart, customers, vendors and history, one click from the next.
Ownership structure
Owners, holding companies and subsidiaries, with percentages and the dates of every change.
Consolidation
A column per company, then ownership, eliminations and the consolidated total. Dealings between the companies cancel exactly, and anything unmatched is shown rather than hidden.
Access by company
Owner, admin, accountant, standard, limited and reports-only roles, set per company, so an outside accountant sees only the companies assigned.

03 — Tax

Tax preparation and filing

Returns prepared from the ledger kept all year, not re-keyed from printouts in the spring.

Partnership returns
TSBooks suggests a Form 1065 line for every account. Once confirmed, page 1, Form 8825 and Schedules K and L fill from the books.
Schedules K-1
Each partner's share of income, deductions and capital follows the recorded ownership.
Tie-outs
Schedules M-1 and M-2 tie book income to the return and roll partners' capital forward, and the checks must pass before a return is final.
Sales tax
Sales tax returns by agency and period, from the same entries.

04 — Investors

Investor dashboard

Every investor's account, worked out day by day from the same books: what each has put in, what each has taken out, and each one's share of the results. The daily entries post to the ledger, so investor statements tie to the books.

Accredited investor records
Each investor's accreditation basis, verification and expiry dates, and qualified client or purchaser status.
Returns from every source
Holdings at a broker, custom loans and other private investments are valued from dated valuations, each carried forward to the next.
Investor accounts
Each day's result is shared by each investor's capital that morning, per the partnership agreement, net of the fees for the investor's class.
Capital and K-1s
Contributions, distributions and allocated results roll forward to each partner's K-1.

05 — Answers

Ask, and the books answer

Claude connects to TSBooks under each person's own permissions, and nothing posts without approval.

Questions in plain language
Why is payables negative in this company? What was spent with a vendor this year? Claude reads the books and answers.
Entries drafted, not posted
When something needs recording, Claude prepares the entry through the real posting rules and shows exactly what would post.
Approval required
Nothing posts without an explicit yes, and the audit log records that the entry came through the connection.
Individual connections
Each person connects a personal Claude account, which can be disconnected in one click.

06 — Underneath

Complete control of the books

The records live on a server the business owns. No vendor can raise the price, change the terms or switch the system off.

Self-hosted
TSBooks runs on a Windows or Linux server with PostgreSQL, which keeps each company's records apart at the database level. Backups run nightly.
Every change on record
Entries are never overwritten; corrections reverse and re-post, and the audit log shows who did what, when, and from where.
History brought in
Companies import from QuickBooks Online, with an exact copy of the original kept beside the books.
No lock-in
A standard database, CSV from every report, and files on disk.

Every number a business runs on, in one system.
